Aliza Gutman

Senior Director

Aliza is a Senior Director, dividing her time between leading CFSI’s Consumer Financial Health Study and managing consulting engagements. She is passionate about the potential of financial services to provide tools that enable people to achieve their goals and transform their lives.

Prior to CFSI, Ms. Gutman held a variety of strategy and analytics roles, helping organizations leverage data to tackle business and operational challenges. At PayPal, she was instrumental in propagating a more data-driven approach to product development. In previous roles at a global management consultancy and a digital media agency, she developed product and marketing strategies for mobile and emerging technologies, and led website usability and analytics engagements for financial services companies. She began her career working with community banks to improve the profitability and marketing of their retail product offerings. Her work mantra is, “Leveraging data to promote financial health.”

When not at CFSI, Aliza is singing with her barbershop chorus or seeking out live blues shows. She holds an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. in Public Policy from Brown University.
