Webinar: Terms of Attendance

As a registered attendee or participant (“Attendee”) at a webinar (the “Webinar”) hosted by The Financial Innovations Center, Inc. doing business as The Center for Financial Services Innovation, Inc. and CFSI (“CFSI”), you agree to these terms and conditions (the “Terms of Attendance”) and our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. If you are completing Webinar registration on behalf of another individual, you warrant that you have made the Attendee aware of these Agreements and that he or she has accepted these terms.

We reserve the right to change these Terms of Attendance and any other information contained on our Sites at any time. Your continued use of our Sites and attendance at the Webinar after such changes constitutes your acceptance of and agreement to these changes.

In addition to these Terms of Attendance, please also review our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, available on our website and incorporated herein by reference.

E-mail Communications

By registering for the Webinar, you grant CFSI the right to contact you using the email and mailing address that you provided during Webinar registration. Once you have completed your Attendee registration, you will receive your registration confirmation by email. CFSI will relay essential Webinar information to you electronically and/or by mail. CFSI will also contact you about other events or programs that you might be interested in attending and will also add you to our mailing list to receive our newsletters and other communications regarding our services and events. You may opt out of receiving any newsletters, updates, or emails from us by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of each email and following the subsequent instructions

Further, by registering for the Webinar, you also consent to your contact information being shared with third parties directly involved in or supporting the Webinar.

Webinar Content

CFSI, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to change any and all aspects of the Webinar, including but not limited to, the Webinar name, themes, content, program, speakers, moderators, and schedules, at any time.

Fees

Attendee fees are subject to CFSI’s cancellation policy. CFSI reserves the right to cancel any program and assumes no responsibility for personal expenses. Fee adjustments and discounts cannot be retroactively applied. All applicable attendance fees are due at the time of registration. Attendee fees may be subject sales tax, value added tax, or other taxes and duties, which, if applicable, will be charged to you in addition to attendance fees at the time of registration. All determinations of applicability of special rates or discounts is in the sole discretion of CFSI.

Cancellation Policy

Registered Webinar attendees are eligible for a full refund for all written requests received by December 1, 2017. No refunds will be granted after this date. Substitutions for the Webinar are acceptable at any time. All cancellations requests must be made in writing, by December 1, 2017 to events@cfsinnovation.org. No refunds will be provided for

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in and to the Webinar, the Webinar content, and all materials distributed at or in connection with the Webinar are owned by CFSI or the Webinar sponsors or speakers. You may not use or reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any trademarks or other trade names appearing at the Webinar, in any Webinar content or in any materials distributed at or in connection with the Webinar for any reason without the prior written permission of CFSI or the Webinar sponsors or speakers. You may not record audio or video of any sessions at the Webinar, without prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will CFSI, its officers, directors, employees or agents be liable to you for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages of any type whatsoever related to or arising out of or from the Webinar or these Terms of Attendance, even if CFSI is expressly advised of the possibility of such damages. This exclusion and waiver of liability applies to all causes of action, whether based on contract, warranty, tort, or any other legal theories.

Computer Software Requirements

Before joining the Webinar, attendees should review the Go to Webinar System Requirements to avoid any connection issues. CFSI is not responsible for users who fail to check their system requirements for attendance in advance. No refund will be offered for missing the Webinar due to personal circumstances including but not limited to technical problems, inadequate internet access, or other software non-compatibilities.

Disclaimer of Warranties

CFSI, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL CONTENT, MATERIALS, INFORMATION, PRODUCTS, PROGRAMS, AND SERVICES OFFERED IN CONNECTION WITH THE WEBINAR ARE PROVIDED “AS IS,” WITH NO WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES WHATSOEVER.

Miscellaneous

These Terms of Attendance represent the entire agreement between you and CFSI with respect to your attendance at the Webinar, and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written between you and CFSI with respect to the Webinar. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved. The failure to require performance of any provision of these Terms of Attendance shall not affect CFSI’s right to require performance at any time thereafter, nor shall a waiver of any breach or default of these Terms of Attendance constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach or default. If any provision of these Terms of Attendance is held unenforceable, then such provision will be modified to reflect the parties’ intention, and the remaining provisions of these Terms of Attendance will remain in full force and effect. No agency, partnership, joint venture, employee-employer or franchisor-franchisee relationship is intended or created by these Terms of Attendance.

Governing Law

These Terms of Attendance shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflicts of law rules, and the exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any dispute shall be in Cook County, Illinois.
